Dr Ron Yeoh was the organizing chairman and Dr WK Chan was on the organizing committee for the biggest cataract and refractive surgery meeting held in Singapore to date, the 26th Asia-Pacific Association of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (APACRS).

Representatives of international cataract & refractive societies, united to combat cataract blindness.

More than 2000 delegates attended this major event in Singapore, held at the recently renovated and brand new Suntec City Convention Centre. Highlights were live surgery sessions featuring the latest femtolaser cataract surgeries, symposia, debates, masterclass instruction courses, wetlabs and film festival.

At this meeting, Dr Yeoh was awarded the APACRS Gold Medal, a medal given in recognition of his work and teaching activities in cataract and refractive surgery locally and internationally.
